C Jason Spezza set career highs with 34 goals, 92 points and a +26 rating in 2007-08, finishing eighth in the NHL scoring race. Spezza had an eight-game point streak to start the season, had a seven-game streak from Nov. 19 to Dec. 5 and a 10-game streak from Dec. 12-29. He recorded his first career hat trick and career-best six-point game against Montreal Feb. 9 in a 6-1 win victory.
Spezza has averaged better than a point per game in the Stanley Cup playoffs, tallying 38 points (13 goals, 25 assists) in just 36 postseason contests. He shared the League playoff scoring lead in 2007 with 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists), joining linemates Daniel Alfredsson (14-8--22) and Dany Heatley (7-15--22).
